Rachel and Ryan are, simply put, book people.
Prior to settling in to 95 Main Street, they spent most of their free time exploring bookstores in various corners of the country. It was on one of these trips that they stumbled upon Patty McWilliams at what would later become the brick and mortar home of Laureate Fine Books. Patty ran Hermit Hill Books, an outstanding general used book store, for over 20 years. Hermit Hill has been an institution in the community and Rachel and Ryan are committed to continuing the legacy which Patty built.
Although Laureate Fine Books is a brick and mortar venture, we have been selling books online for several years and have fostered a deep passion for them for even longer. We hope to be able to share that passion with you and continue the collegial tradition of book collecting.

We offer cash or trade credit for quality used books.
If you have a handful of items you would like us to evaluate, you are welcome to bring them in during regular business hours.
We ask that you call to make an appointment for larger quantities.
We will happily make "house calls" for large collections and libraries.
If you have items of note you wish for us to evaluate remotely, you are more than welcome to send us an email with relevant information and photographs.

Laureate Fine Books strives to offer exceptional service. We package all items we ship with care, ship promptly, and take proper precaution to insure packages of significant value.
We protect all books in dust jackets with archival mylar, and will take appropriate actions to protect those without.
We are willing to gift wrap items or include personalized notes to recipients upon request.
