Books originally owned by Reuben Gavoor, a survivor of the Armenian Genocide and slavery in Turkey. He immigrated to the United States in 1921 and went on to become a regular columnist for Armenian Democratic Socialist magazine, Armenian Weekly (still running), as well as working for The State Department in the Department of Emergency Management.
