Consensus suggests that all First Canadian Editions of Nineteen Eighty-Four were issued as Book Club Editions. These editions were all priced, all with edition statements, and all feature book club dots.

A Near Fine Book in a Very Good or Better Dust Jacket Uniformly Clipped by Publisher, Price Unaffected ($3.00). Book is moderately shelf worn to extremities with some rubbing to tail. Crown is pulled. Text block is lightly toned. Gutters are visible at several leaves despite binding being tight and square, this seems to be a production quirk rather than a flaw. Book Club dot present to rear board near tail. Blue variant dust jacket presents beautifully. Moderate shelf wear shows some bumping along both edges, with some whitening.
