Rachel has a deep love of mythology, folklore, and fantasy works. We conceived of this collection in order to explore the roots of modern fantasy. How exactly did we get from children's stories and Brother's Grimm tales to C.S. Lewis and Tolkien? From there to Game of Thrones? We have started with those works which during the Golden Age of Illustration endeavored to preserve the fairy tales and myth upon which civilizations have built their storytelling throughout history.
